products are produced from high purity silica which is
precision ground to top sizes ranging from 40 to 250 microns. These
ground silicas are inherently inert, white, bright, have low
moisture and are at least 99.4% SiO2. |

elimination of excessive coarse and fine particles. This makes

ideal for plastics and rubber, polishes and cleansers, paints,

Ceramics
In sanitaryware, tile, dishware, electrical insulators and frits the
chemical purity and consistent particle size distribution of
SIL-CO-SIL Ground Silica ensures white ceramics with consistent
slip viscosity and excellent firing characteristics.

Plastics
In laboratory bench tops, epoxy molding and potting compounds, and
in various phenolic and polyester compounds the consistent particle
size distribution of SIL-CO-SIL Ground Silica allows for high
loadings with minimal viscosity increase. |

Traffic
Paint
Silica is an excellent filler for traffic paint because of its
natural hardness and chemical resistance. SIL-CO-SIL Ground Silica
is specified because of its high brightness and low oil absorption.

Fiberglass

How
to select a product.
The number in each
product name reflects the U.S. standard for expressing sieve
openings; typically 98% of the grade is finer than the number
expressed in micrometers (microns).
EXAMPLE: SIL-CO-SIL
75 means typically 98% or more ground silica will pass a 75 micron
screen.
